
Islamabad, 01 March (H.S.): Pakistan has cautioned the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) that the joint US-Israel attacks on Iran threaten regional stability with potentially long-lasting repercussions.Pakistan's Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, expressed deep concern over Middle East developments to the 15-member council. He condemned Iran's retaliatory strikes on Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, and the UAE, affirming Pakistan's solidarity with these nations.
UNSC Secretary-General Antonio Guterres opened the debate by urging restraint against any state's sovereignty, denouncing both the large-scale US-Israel military actions on Iran and Tehran's subsequent assaults on multiple Gulf states. The emergency session convened late Saturday at the request of France, China, Russia, Bahrain, and Colombia .
