The weather in Kolkata and adjoining areas will remain mostly clear over the next 24 hours. However, partly cloudy skies are expected in the afternoon and evening.
According to the weather department, the maximum temperature on Monday is expected to be around 31 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is expected to be around 22 degrees Celsius.
According to data from the Alipore Meteorological Station, the maximum temperature recorded in the last 24 hours was 31.2 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 20.4 degrees Celsius. The maximum relative humidity during this period was 80 percent and the minimum was 41 percent. No rainfall was recorded in the region during the last 24 hours.
The Meteorological Department, in its forecast for Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, stated that light rain or snowfall is likely at one or two places in Sikkim. At the same time, light rain or thundershowers may occur at one or two locations in Darjeeling, Kalimpong, and Jalpaiguri districts. The remaining districts of sub-Himalayan West Bengal are expected to remain largely dry.
The department clarified that no weather warning has been issued at this time. Furthermore, only minor changes in weather conditions are expected in the coming days.
