Addressing the India AI Impact Summit at Bharat Mandapam, Ambani depicted the world at an AI crossroads: one path leading to scarce, expensive, controlled intelligence; the other championing affordable, accessible AI for all. He proclaimed AI's best era yet to unfold, capable of ushering unprecedented prosperity while fulfilling Viksit Bharat's vision.
Patient Nation-Building CapitalThis is no speculative bet chasing valuations but disciplined, patient nation-building capital, Ambani emphasized, targeting compute as AI's chief barrier—not talent shortage but exorbitant gigawatt-scale data center costs. Jio, having revolutionized connectivity, will now connect India to the intelligence era, delivering AI to every citizen, sector, economic facet, and social development aspect with hallmark reliability, scale, and affordability.
Jio Intelligence will erect sovereign compute infrastructure: gigawatt-scale data centers (construction underway at Jamnagar, 120 MW online by late 2026), green energy backing (up to 10 GW surplus in Kutch and Andhra Pradesh), and nationwide edge compute integrated with Jio's telecom backbone for responsive, low-latency intelligence where Indians live, work, and learn.
Ambani lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the summit's guide, philosopher, and leader, crediting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw's team for scaling it to match India's ambitions. He envisioned wise AI deployment eradicating poverty, fostering prosperity for all 8 billion on a thriving planet.
