
Kolkata, 14 February (H.S.): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee extended a message of love and harmony on Valentine's Day on Saturday. In a post on the social media platform 'X', she said that Valentine's Day is a celebration of all forms of love—a love that transcends the boundaries of caste, religion, class, and sect, uniting humanity.
In her message, the Chief Minister quoted a famous line, writing, I have loved you hundreds of times in your many forms—throughout life, through ages.
She said that this same spirit of love has guided her in public life—a love for the people that can withstand difficulties, listen patiently, and have the courage to fight for justice and dignity.
Wishing everyone a Happy Valentine's Day, the Chief Minister said, Long live love.
