New Delhi, 13 February (H.S.): President Droupadi Murmu asserted Friday that every Indian can significantly contribute to the nation's sustainable, all-encompassing development via karmayoga—selfless action—inaugurating Brahma Kumaris' All-India Conference and nationwide Karmayoga for Empowered Bharat campaign at Vigyan Bhawan, alongside Om Shanti Retreat Centre's (Gurugram) silver jubilee launch.
In her address, Murmu emphasized harmonizing material progress with ethics and spirituality for balanced growth: economic advancement fosters prosperity, technology spurs innovation and competitiveness, yet absent morality risks wealth concentration, environmental degradation, and exploitation of vulnerable groups—while unchecked tech could prove humanity's bane.
Spirituality, she noted, instills integrity, compassion, non-violence, and service, elevating selflessness for societal welfare; Brahma Kumaris' Rajyoga transcends meditation to embody karmayoga—discharging duties per lofty principles—with millions practicing it for purposeful lives, enabling citizens to build a value-driven exemplar for the world alongside economic might.
