
Kolkata, 13 February (H.S.): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee paid tribute to freedom fighter and poet Sarojini Naidu, known as the Nightingale of India, on her birth anniversary.
In a post on the social media platform X on Friday, the Chief Minister said this was her tribute to Sarojini Naidu on her birth anniversary. In her message, she recalled Sarojini Naidu's ideals for social justice and empowerment and said we must continue to be guided by those values.
Mamata Banerjee said that Sarojini Naidu's thoughts and contributions continue to inspire society and motivate us to move forward towards equality, rights, and empowerment.
