
New Delhi, 11 February (H.S.): On Tuesday, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested Delhi Police Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Sunder Pal red-handed while he accepted a bribe of ₹10 lakh. The accused was posted at the CR Park police station.
According to the CBI, the agency registered the case on February 10. The charges allege that ASI Sunder Pal demanded ₹25 lakh from the complainant to settle a property dispute in his favor and to avoid any legal action against him.
Subsequently, the CBI laid a trap and apprehended the accused as he took ₹10 lakh from the complainant. Following the arrest, the officer was remanded into custody, and the investigation into the case continues.
