Udhampur, 10 February (H.S.): Udhampur Police has attached a vehicle worth approximately ₹10 lakhs belonging to a habitual bovine smuggler U/S 107(5) BNSS in compliance with the orders passed by the Hon’ble Court, Udhampur.

The attached property is a TATA Yodha 1700 Pick-Up vehicle bearing Registration No. JK14H-8621 owned by Younis Mohd son of Bind Ali of Darsoo, District Udhampur. The vehicle was found involved in FIR No. 001/2026 U/S 223 BNS & 11 PCA Act registered at Police Station Panchari.

During the course of investigation, a detailed inquiry was conducted by the Investigating Officer PSI of PS Panchari from multiple aspects, including criminal antecedents and financial investigation. The inquiry revealed that the offending vehicle had been acquired through illegally obtained money generated from unlawful activities.

Accordingly, the said vehicle has been lawfully seized and provisionally attached under Section 107(5) BNSS.
