Guwahati, 7 January (HS): Police arrested a youth with heroin in Guwahati. According to the Assam Police CPRO, acting on credible source information, a team of Panbazar Police conducted an operation at 2 No. Railway Gate in Guwahati on Wednesday morning and apprehended a youth in connection with possession of suspected narcotics.
The arrested person has been identified as Ainul Haque (25), son of late Dilbor Hussain, a resident of 2 No. Railway Gate, Lakhtokia, under Panbazar Police Station in Kamrup (Metro) district. His permanent address is Fakirganj, village Kolapitha, under Fakirganj Police Station in Dhubri district.
During a search, police recovered six plastic vials containing suspected heroin from his possession. The seized contraband reportedly weighed 11.7 grams. Further legal proceedings have been initiated and investigation into the case is underway, police said.----------
