30 Jan (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has congratulated the

state's people and other stakeholders involved in wetland conservation on the

Ramsar designation of Patna Bird Sanctuary in Uttar Pradesh's Etawah district

and Chhari-Dhand in Gujarat's Kutch region.

In

a post on X, he mentioned, “India's dedication to environmental protection has

gained worldwide attention under the visionary leadership of Hon. PM Shri

Narendra Modi ji. Patna Bird Sanctuary in Etah (Uttar Pradesh) and Chhari-Dhand

in Kutch (Gujarat) have been designated as Ramsar Sites, highlighting a journey

of policy, protection, and preservation in which nature and development

coexist.

This worldwide award recognizes India's commitment to sustainable

stewardship, ecological balance, and biodiversity conservation. Congratulations

to the residents of Etah, Uttar Pradesh, and all players involved in wetland

protection.”
