Prayagraj,

29 Jan (HS): Bishop John Augustine of Lucknow visited the Magh Mela area on Thursday

and paid tribute to revered Mulayam Singh Yadav at fair camp. He went to the

camp of Mulayam Singh Yadav Smriti Sansthan and met SP leader Sandeep Yadav.

Ganga, a cow born in Sandeep Yadav's camp, started following him as soon as she

saw him. Seeing Ganga, Bishop John Augustine, moved by emotions, sent his

driver to get green fodder for Ganga and fed it to her. His voice is familiar to

these cattles. Hearing their loving calls, several cattle came running and

jumping to him. He stroked each one's forehead, pampered them, and fed them

jaggery and bread with his own hands.

Taking

a pledge to protect cows on the banks of Ganga Maa Ki reti, he resolved to

build a big cowshed for the maintenance of cows. The construction work of the

cowshed will start soon. After leaving the camp, Bishop John Augustine visited

the Sangam as well as various tourist spots of the fair.
