Gorakhpur,
27 Jan (HS): Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated two important
infrastructure projects on Tuesday, giving Gorakhpur a major boost in transportation
and urban development. The completion of these projects will streamline the
city's traffic system, alleviate traffic congestion, and provide safe and fast
transportation for the public.
The
Chief Minister inaugurated the four-lane rail overbridge (ROB) constructed at
level crossing number 5A between the Nakaha Jungle-Maniram stations on Jail
Road from Bargadwa intersection. The project cost Rs. 152.18 crore. The
bridge's total length is 1,092 meters. The opening of this ROB will alleviate
traffic jams at railway crossings and facilitate smooth travel between the
northern and southern parts of the city.
Chief
Minister Yogi Adityanath also inaugurated the flyover at Khajanchi Square,
located on the four-lane Bargadwa-Kauwabag Jail Bypass. The flyover cost Rs. 96.50
crore and is 605 meters long. Khajanchi Square is one of the city's busiest
intersections, often experiencing daily traffic jams. The flyover's operation
will now ease traffic congestion and provide significant relief to pedestrians.
On
this occasion, the Chief Minister stated that the state government is
continuously working to develop a modern and safe road and bridge network
throughout Uttar Pradesh, including Gorakhpur. These projects will not only
strengthen the transportation system but also provide a new impetus to
industrial, commercial, and social activities. Public representatives,
administrative officials, and a large number of local citizens were present at
the inauguration ceremony. Residents expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister
for these development projects and called them a new chapter in Gorakhpur's
development.
