New Delhi, 27 January (H.S.): The Delhi High Court has ordered a complete halt to the broadcast of an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-generated film about Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan's son, Akira Nandan, created without his permission. Justice Tusshar Rao Gadela's bench issued these directives.

In his petition, Akira Nandan stated that the film incorporates his name, photographs, preferences, and personality traits via AI, produced by Sambhavami Studios. It portrays him in the lead role, yet the makers secured no consent from the petitioner.

The plea asserts this unauthorized production violates his personality and privacy rights.During the hearing, counsel J. Sai Deepak, representing Akira Nandan, highlighted the film's use of advanced AI and deepfake technology to replicate the petitioner's facial features and voice.

Titled AI Love Story, it has been uploaded to YouTube in multiple languages. As of Saturday, January 22, 2026, the Telugu version garnered over 1.1 million views, while the English version exceeded 24,000.

The petition annexes several AI-generated video clips from the film. After reviewing them, the court observed that AI enables portrayal of any character and fabrication of false narratives. It also directed Meta and other social media platforms to remove the film's URLs (web links).
