Lucknow,
26 Jan (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath hoisted the tricolor
at his official residence, 5 Kalidas Marg, on Republic Day. Congratulating the
people of the state on Republic Day, he said, We have a responsibility to
fulfill our resolve for a new and developed India.
In
his address, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, I heartily congratulate
all the citizens of Uttar Pradesh. On this day in 1950, the Constitution of
India came into effect. In its 76-year journey, our Constitution has seen many
ups and downs. Despite all this, in accordance with our pledge of 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha
Bharat', from north to south, from east to west, moving forward with the goal
of the pride of every Indian, and the unity and integrity of India, we are all
witnessing a new India today. Our Constitution plays a crucial role in
this.
CM
Yogi said that on this occasion, I pay homage to the memory of the Father of
the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, under whose leadership India's freedom movement
reached new heights. I pay homage to the memories of Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the
first President of the Republic of India, the Chairman of the Constituent
Assembly of India; Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian
Constitution; Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of present-day India;
Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, the leader of revolutionaries; and all those great
sons of Mother India who sacrificed everything for the country's independence;
ensured the country's freedom by participating actively in this movement; and
sacrificed themselves for the security of the country, internal and external security
in independent India. I pay homage to all such known and unknown sons of Mother
India.
The
Chief Minister said that we all know that India gained independence on August
15, 1947. Prior to that, elections to the Indian Constituent Assembly had been
held. Following the drafting of the Constitution under the leadership of Dr.
Rajendra Prasad, India adopted its Constitution on November 26, 1949. Today,
the entire country celebrates November 26 as Constitution Day. It is the
responsibility of every Indian to act with complete reverence and dedication to
our Constitution, as it provides support in both favorable and adverse
circumstances. These lines from the Indian Constitution, We are the
people of India, are a new inspiration for us. The true guardian of the
Indian Constitution is the citizen of India. Every institution, every ministry,
and every department must ensure their accountability to that Indian citizen.
This reflects our dedication to the Constitution.
We
all know that whenever we disrespect the fundamental spirit of the
Constitution, we are actually disrespecting those great sons of Mother India,
on whose strength this country gained independence. This respect is not only
for the Constitution of India, but also for those great men whose strength made
the country independent. Therefore, it is our responsibility to work with
devotion towards the Constitution. It is a sacred document for us, which will
guide us in every adverse situation. From binding India together in unity and
integrity to spreading the spirit of justice, fraternity, and equality to every
citizen within the country, we must continue this process. Remember these three
words: justice, equality, and fraternity. Every citizen should get justice
without discrimination; there should be no discrimination based on caste,
creed, or religion within the country. If this atmosphere of mutual equality
and fraternity grows throughout the country, no one can stop Prime Minister
Modi's campaign to make India a developed country. The concept of a developed
India should be a moment of pride for every Indian, as it will not only bring
economic prosperity to the country but also bring prosperity to the lives of
every citizen. Every individual will prosper. But the path to this begins with
the lowest rung of society. The journey must be carried forward from our
villages, streets, and through those citizens at the bottom of society in
various sectors. We must move forward with this spirit of self-reliance at
every level. Remember these words of the Indian Constitution, which Prime
Minister Modi repeatedly says, have played the greatest role in establishing
India as the world's largest democracy.
Before
independence, vicious cycles of social division began. Some conspired to divide
the country based on caste, region, and language, but these conspiracies failed
to last long. Whenever attempts are made to weaken the fundamental spirit of
the Constitution, you may have noticed that these murmurs arise from somewhere.
These do not last long. The Constitution of the country inspires us all to
unite. If someone claims that they are above justice, above the Constitution,
above the system, such people are disrespecting the Constitution of India. This
cannot be tolerated. Today is a day of renewed inspiration for all of us to
move forward with dedication to this great Constitution of India and to advance
our resolve.
All
of us, the people of Uttar Pradesh, will have the opportunity to honor the
Constitution of India, respect all national heroes, and take the nation's
resolve to greater heights. Once again, we extend our heartfelt greetings and
best wishes to the people of Uttar Pradesh on Republic Day.
Uttar
Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath extended his best wishes to the people
of the state on Republic Day. He wrote on the social media platform,
Heartiest congratulations and best wishes to the people of the state on
the 77th Republic Day. The patriotism, sense of duty and dedication
towards development of all of us makes our democracy strong and powerful. Let
us remember our immortal fighters and, inspired by the ideals of the
Constitution, resolve to build a 'strong, prosperous and self-reliant India.'
Jai Hind!
Along
with this, he wrote a letter to the people of the state. In this letter, he
appealed especially to the youth. He wrote, My respected citizens of the
state, Our Constitution provides us with the priceless gifts of liberty,
equality, justice, and fraternity. These constitutional values are the soul
of democracy. On this Republic Day, I especially call upon the youth of the
state to embrace the ideals of the Constitution and play an active role in
building a new Uttar Pradesh. Let us pledge allegiance to the Constitution,
dedication to the nation, and responsibility to society. Heartiest greetings to
all the citizens of the state on the 77th Republic Day.
