
Chirang (Assam), 25 January (HS): Three people were killed and two others sustained serious injuries after coming in contact with electricity in Assam’s Chirang district, near the India–Bhutan border, police said on Sunday.
The incident occurred in the Amtoka Anthibari area along the international border, where the victims were electrocuted, resulting in the death of three persons on the spot. The deceased have been identified as Daimalu Narzary, Vijay Musahary, and Michael Musahary.
Police said two other individuals were critically injured in the incident and have been admitted to hospital for treatment.
It was further reported that Michael Musahary had got married on Saturday, just a day before the tragic incident.
Police have registered a case in connection with the incident and initiated an investigation. The bodies have been taken into custody and sent to the hospital for post-mortem examination.------------
