Ballia,
25 Jan (HS): Uttar Pradesh Minister Danish Azad Ansari said on Sunday that this
year's Haj pilgrims will be handed a unique wrist band with an emergency
button, allowing officials to monitor their safety. Ansari, the Minister of
State for Minority Affairs, stated that the Modi administration is totally dedicated
to providing improved amenities for Haj pilgrims. He estimated that about 1.25
lakh pilgrims from India are expected to make the journey in 2026. The minister
stated that there is now one Haj inspector for every 150 pilgrims. As part of
this year's novel arrangement, each Haj pilgrim will be handed a special wrist
band with an emergency button. He stated that this will allow him to monitor
each pilgrim.
Ansari
went on to say that the government is utilizing digital tools and artificial
intelligence to guarantee improved administration and safety measures for
pilgrims during the Haj journey. The Modi government prioritizes making Haj
pilgrims' preparations and experiences more convenient. The minister stated
that a high-level committee has been formed under my direction to address this
issue. Ansari stated that he recently visited Makkah, Saudi Arabia, alongside
officials from the Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry of Minority
Affairs to examine and appraise Haj preparations for 2026.
