New Delhi, 22 January (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Kerala on Friday to lay foundation stones, inaugurate projects, and flag off key initiatives in Thiruvananthapuram starting around 10:45 AM, followed by a public address.

Prime Minister will flag off four new train services, including three Amrit Bharat Express trains—Nagercoil-Mangaluru, Thiruvananthapuram-Tambaram, and Thiruvananthapuram-Charlapalli—plus a Thrissur-Guruvayur passenger train. These enhancements will boost long-distance and regional links across Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh, promoting affordable, safe travel while spurring tourism, trade, education, employment, and cultural exchanges.

A major step for street vendors comes with the launch of the PM SVANidhi Credit Card, an interest-free, UPI-linked revolving credit facility offering instant liquidity, digital transactions, and formal credit-building.

Prime Minister will also disburse PM SVANidhi loans to one lakh beneficiaries, including Keralites, building on the 2020 scheme's success in poverty alleviation and informal sector security.

Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for the CSIR-NIIST Innovation, Technology, and Entrepreneurship Hub, focusing on life sciences, bio-economy, Ayurveda-biotech integration, sustainable packaging, green hydrogen, startups, tech transfer, and global ties to commercialize research.

He will also initiate a state-of-the-art Radiosurgery Centre at Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, delivering precise, minimally invasive brain disorder treatments to elevate regional tertiary care.
