Ballari(Karnataka), 02 January (H.S.): The situation in Ballari district headquarters of the state is tense, following death of Rajasekhar Reddy, a Congress party worker in the police firing, yesterday night.
The incident is said to be an outcome of an altercation over a trivial issue of putting banner in connection with the unveiling of the Valmiki statue.
According to initial reports, group clashes erupted between the followers of Na Ra Bharat Reddy, Ballari Congress MLA and Gali Janardhana Reddy, tainted mining baron, former BJP minister and Gangavathi MLA.
