
Bhubaneswar, 13 January (H.S.): More than 4.57 lakh women in Odisha will receive financial assistance under the Subhadra Yojana by January 18, with a total of ₹250 crore set to be transferred directly to beneficiaries’ bank accounts, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida announced on Tuesday.
According to the Deputy Chief Minister, 4,57,681 women will benefit in this phase of disbursement. Of them, 1,78,398 women are newly enrolled beneficiaries who will receive the first instalment of assistance. Additionally, 2,55,265 women, who were earlier left out of the first and second instalments, have now been included and will receive both instalments together.
The disbursement also includes beneficiaries added through the grievance redressal mechanism. As many as 24,018 women were incorporated into the scheme after their grievances were reviewed and resolved.
The government reiterated its commitment to ensuring that all eligible women receive timely support under the Subhadra Yojana, which aims to provide financial security and promote the economic empowerment of women across the state.
