New Delhi, 11 January (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Rajkot today on Sunday, January 11, 2026, to inaugurate the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference for the Kutch and Saurashtra regions, injecting renewed vigor into investment and industrial expansion across western Gujarat.
The itinerary kicks off at approximately 1:30 PM with the inauguration of a dynamic Trade Show at the conference venue. This will be swiftly followed at around 2:00 PM by the formal launch of the two-day Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (January 11-12) at Marwadi University in Rajkot, where the Prime Minister will deliver a keynote address to an assembly of industry leaders, investors, and stakeholders.
A centerpiece of the event will see Modi announcing the establishment of 14 new greenfield smart estates under the Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation Limited (GIDC), alongside inaugurating the state's first medical device park at Rajkot. These initiatives promise to catalyze cutting-edge manufacturing and healthcare innovation in the region.
Spanning 12 districts in Kutch and Saurashtra, this dedicated summit spotlights high-potential sectors such as ceramics, engineering, ports and logistics, fisheries, petrochemicals, agro and food processing, minerals, green energy ecosystems, skill development, startups, MSMEs, tourism, and culture. Partner countries—Japan, South Korea, Rwanda, and Ukraine—will amplify global ties, fostering cross-border collaborations.
This conference forms part of an ambitious quartet of Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conferences designed to decentralize the flagship summit's impact statewide.
The inaugural North Gujarat edition unfolded in Mehsana on October 9-10, 2025; upcoming events include South Gujarat in Surat (April 9-10, 2026) and Central Gujarat in Vadodara (June 10-11, 2026). Aligned with Modi's vision of Viksit Bharat @2047, these gatherings build on the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit's legacy by championing region-specific growth, ease of doing business, innovation, and sustainable jobs.
Beyond showcasing achievements and unveiling projects, the conferences empower local economies, spur strategic investments, and co-create Gujarat's prosperity narrative—culminating in highlights at the next Global Summit in January 2027.
