
Somnath, Gujarat, 11 January (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated on Sunday in the spectacular Shourya Yatra, a grand roadshow featuring 108 trained horses, as part of the second day of the 'Somnath Swabhiman Parv' celebrations held under the divine presence of the first Jyotirlinga, Somnath Mahadev.
Having arrived in Somnath to partake in the event honoring the temple's legacy,PM Modi engaged in special worship rituals before joining the majestic procession, captivating thousands of devotees and onlookers.
According to an official release, Prime Minister Modi proceeded from the circuit house to the Somnath Temple early Sunday morning, where he conducted an elaborate puja and aarti lasting approximately 35 minutes. Subsequently, he arrived at Shankh Circle and took part in the one-kilometer-long Shourya Yatra, a resplendent demonstration of India's valor, traditions, and cultural heritage.
The procession, symbolized by the 108 meticulously trained horses, etched an indelible chapter in Somnath's storied history, evoking profound national pride. From there, PM Modi will proceeded to the assembly venue at Sadbhavna Ground, where further festivities unfolded.

Later, he will travel to Ahmedabad by air, then proceeded by road to Gandhinagar.
In Gandhinagar, PM Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the Mahatma Gandhi Metro Station at 5:15 p.m., enhancing urban connectivity, before retiring at Raj Bhavan for the night.
