Malda, 10 September (H.S.): Inner clash within the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal is increasing continuously. The situation has worsened after the organizational reshuffle in Harishchandrapur area of Malda district. Allegedly, late on Tuesday night, houses and shops of many TMC leaders and panchayat members were attacked, vehicles were vandalized. Even an attempt was made to kill the husband of a panchayat member, although he somehow escaped.

The local minister, his brother and supporters have been directly blamed for this incident. In protest, a faction of Trinamool itself came out on the road and blocked the state highway and protested. They demand that the attackers be arrested immediately.

As per information, recently there was an organizational reshuffle in the Trinamool Congress in Harishchandrapur-1 (A) block. In this, Ziaur Rahman, a close aide of Zila Parishad member Bulbul Khan, was removed from the post of block president and the minister supporter Mosharraf Hussain was made the president. At the same time, the presidency of the Trinamool Youth wing was also given to the minister supporter Vijay Das, who is alleged to have never been considered an active party worker. This decision deepened the discontent and the situation became explosive on Tuesday night.

There has been tension in the area since Wednesday morning. The police is present on the spot, but locals alleged that the attackers are roaming freely and the police is a mute spectator.

Meanwhile, the BJP also reacted sharply to this incident. BJP district president Ajay Gangopadhyay said, The minister's brother is getting this kind of violence done to show strength. Earlier also he had got people beaten up by giving provocative speeches from the stage, his case is going on. Now the houses of panchayat representatives have been attacked. TMC will be destroyed in its own clashes.
