New Delhi, August 12(HS): World’s leading audio-series platform Pocket FM has unveiled an evocative brand film, Sound of Courage, as part of its acclaimed campaign “India, Kuch Achha Suno” — this time celebrating the remarkable real-life story of the Indian Women’s Ice Hockey Team and their trailblazing bronze medal at the Asia Cup.

The film is not merely a sports narrative; it is a stirring testament to resolve, self-belief, and the breaking of entrenched social barriers.

From practising on the frozen lakes of Ladakh to stepping onto the international podium, the path was riddled with obstacles. The players defied family disapproval, endured social taunts, and fought to prove themselves in a sport long dismissed as “a man’s game.” Yet, their spirit never wavered — and their persistence etched India’s name into Asian ice hockey history.

Team captain Tsewang Chuskit summed up their ethos: “Victory is born out of determination. We faced many doubts, but we listened to the voice within and trusted it. That’s the essence of ‘Sound of Courage’ — when you believe in yourself, everything changes.”

For Harjinder Singh ‘Jindi’, Secretary General of the Ice Hockey Association of India and member of the IIHF Asia Committee, this bronze medal goes far beyond the scoreboard: “It’s not just a win for sport, it’s a win for courage and dreamers everywhere. We broke barriers to prove passion has no limits.”

Vineet Singh, SVP & Head of Brand Marketing, Communication, and Partnerships at Pocket FM, explained the creative impulse: “In an age of overwhelming negativity, we want to tell stories that inspire. ‘Sound of Courage’ salutes every individual who has fought against the odds.”

Narrated in the rich, resonant voice of Padma Shri recipient Morup Namgyal, the film has been conceptualised and produced entirely by Pocket Entertainment’s in-house creative team in collaboration with Black & White Films. More than an ice hockey chronicle, it stands as an emblem for every Indian woman who has carved her own path, rewriting the rules of ambition and success.
