Delhi, 9 July (H.S.): Active participation from Bihar electors and dedicated election officials, along with 1.56-lakh Booth Level Agents (BLAs) from recognized political parties, has led to the collection of 57.48% Enumeration Forms in the initial 15 days of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise, with 16 days remaining. By 6.00 PM today, 4,53,89,881 Enumeration Forms, representing 57.48% of the total 7,89,69,844 existing electors in Bihar, were collected since the SIR instructions were released on June 24, 2025.
In the past 24 hours alone, 83,12,804 forms were gathered, marking a single-day collection of 10.52%. With 42.5% of forms still outstanding, the collection process is likely to finish ahead of the July 25, 2025 deadline. Para 3(d) of SIR guidelines allows existing electors, including temporary migrants, to download and submit pre-filled Enumeration Forms online or via family members before the deadline. Approximately 7.90 crore forms have been printed, with nearly 98% distributed to electors during the last 15 days.
