Kathmandu, July 8 (HS): A massive flood in Lende river on Tuesday morning in China have caused substantial damage in Nepal's border region. The Nepal-China Friendship Bridge at the Rasuwagadhi border point in Rasuwa district has been washed away, leading to the loss of hundreds of electric vehicles and drifting containers. Trucks parked at the border are submerged, risking cargo damage.

Reports indicate approximately 16 people are missing, including 3 Nepal Police personnel, 3 container drivers, 6 Nepali workers, and 4 Chinese workers. The Nepalese Army is actively engaged in relief efforts, rescuing some individuals via helicopter. As of now, 9 flood victims have been saved, but the Rasuwagadhi district administration warns that the number of missing persons may rise.
