Kolkata, 3 July (H.S.): The Calcutta High Court on Thursday directed West Bengal government to submit a detailed progress report on the investigation into the alleged gang rape of a law student at South Calcutta Law College. The report must be filed in the form of an affidavit.
A Division Bench, headed by Justice Soumen Sen, also instructed the State to produce the case diary related to the investigation on the next date of hearing, on July 10.
Notably, three Public Interest Litigations (PILs) were filed in connection with the case with serious allegations against an alumnus and two senior students of the law college.
