Jakarta, July 3 (H.S.) : Three people died and 58 are missing after a boat sank near Bali, Indonesia. Search and rescue teams have rescued four individuals so far. The accident, reported by China's Xinhua news agency, occurred shortly before midnight on Wednesday due to high waves colliding with the vessel near the Bali-East Java maritime border.
I Nyoman Sidkarya, head of Bali's search and rescue office, confirmed the fatalities and rescues. The boat, traveling from Banyuwangi Regency in East Java to Gilimanuk village in Bali, capsized amid sudden high waves. The ongoing search operation involves teams from both regions, with 53 passengers and 12 crew on board.
