Mumbai, 16 July (HS): Maharashtra Chief Minister
Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar condoled the death of
Dr Deepak Tilak, Managing Editor of Marathi daily ‘Kesari’, the son of ex-Chairman
of Legislative Council Jayantrao Tilak, and great-grandson of Lokmanya Bal
Gangadhar Tilak. Dr Deepak Tilas passed away in Pune on Wednesday morning.
Fadnavis said that the social qualities and values
inherited by Dr Deepak from his father were followed during his lifetime. He
supported many social and educational projects and activities, and also worked
as a dedicated journalist. He inspired many youths to pursue education and
research.
Ajit Pawar said that a great personality in the
fields of education, social work, and journalism was lost in Dr Deepak Tilak.
His work in promoting the Japanese language in India was recognised by Japan.
Tilak was a positive thinker, and his work was an inspiration to many young
people.
