Raipur, June 1 (H.S.) : The Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) conducted raids at five locations associated with businessman Vijay Bhatia and his relatives in Bhilai, Durg district. The raids targeted two relatives’ homes in Nehru Nagar East, Bhatia's furniture showroom in Bhilai Sector 06, his factory in Hathkhori, and his father's ancestral house in Adarsh Nagar, linked to a liquor scam investigation.

Bhatia, a close associate of former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, had previously faced three raids by ED and ACB-EOW officials regarding the scandal, which involved illegal liquor sales and incurred losses exceeding two thousand crores.
