Developmental works in Nagpur should start immediately: CM Fadnavis

Mumbai, 09 May (HS): The developmental works planned for Nagpur Mahanagar should be started as soon as possible. The Performance

Gallery at Orange City Project, Zero Mile beautification, Cotton Market

development, Fule Market (Flower Market), and the shifting of Central Jail are

important issues in the development plan. The agencies concerned should

coordinate for effective and faster execution of the plan, said Chief Minister

Devendra Fadnavis.

Fadnavis chaired a meeting with Nagpur Municipal Corporation

and Maharashtra State Infrastructure Development Corporation at the Sahyadri

Guest House in Mumbai. Revenue Minister and Nagpur Guardian Minister

Chandrashekhar Bawankule, officers of the relevant departments, were present.

The Zero Mile development plan prepared by NMC was

cleared by Fadnavis. An Experience Centre demonstrating the picture of Akhand

Bharat and how Nagpur became the centre of the nation will be developed at the

Zero Mile Park.The development plan

worth Rs 45 crore will have illumination using natural light, adequate parking

space for the visitors, and a museum.

Bawankule said that houses for about 7,000

contractual workers will be constructed in Kamptee under the Pradhan Mantri

Awas Yojana. The MSIDC should start providing basic

facilities in the area. The land where the government printing press is located

will be made available for the regional office of the Civic Supplies Department.
