New Delhi, May 9 (HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Friday amid India-Pakistan tensions regarding preparations as a border state and the current situation of tension at the border. He provided necessary guidelines concerning the safety of citizens.

Chief Minister Patel posted on X, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to me on the phone and inquired about Gujarat's preparations as a border state and received details of the proactive measures taken by the state government regarding the current situation of tension at the border, providing necessary guidance on this matter.”

He said, “The Prime Minister also sought information about the adequate steps taken by the state government to ensure citizens' safety, especially in sensitive districts like Kutch, Banaskantha, Patan, and Jamnagar, which share a border with Pakistan.”
