Ankara (Turkey), May 8 (H.S.): The federal government of Pakistan is on edge after India's 'Operation Sindoor' targeting terrorist hideouts. Following the operation, Pakistan's National Security Advisor had a phone call with India's counterpart, as reported by Turkey's TRT World Channel, citing Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. However, India has not yet confirmed this conversation officially.

Dar, also the Deputy Prime Minister, stated this was the first communication since India's military response to the April 22 Pahalgam terrorist attack that killed 26 people. Details about the discussion between India's Ajit Doval and Pakistan's Aseem Malik were not disclosed. This exchange is perceived as an attempt to reduce tensions amid fears of escalating military conflict between the two nuclear-armed nations.

Notably, Dar indicated that Turkey was the first to reach out to Pakistan after the operations, with Turkish Foreign Minister calling him early in the morning, followed by a conversation between Turkey's President and Pakistan's Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. The Turkish ambassador in Islamabad was also among the first to contact them, reflecting strong bilateral ties.
