Kolkata, 2 May (H.S.) : Infighting within the West Bengal BJP has once again come to the fore. Senior BJP leader Dilip Ghosh on Friday launched a fresh attack on Bishnupur MP Saumitra Khan. Ghosh stated, “Those who spend the entire night with one person and go to someone else in the morning—I won’t take lessons from them. The BJP shelters such people.”

The controversy erupted after a video of Dilip Ghosh chatting with the Chief Minister and his family during the inauguration of the Jagannath Temple in Digha went viral. This sparked discontent within the party ranks. In response, Saumitra Khan had labeled Ghosh as a “pleasure-seeker.” Countering the allegations, Ghosh, during his morning walk on Friday, questioned Khan’s character and remarked, “We are nurturing people in the BJP who change parties every day. Such people are trying to lecture me? Those who once queued up outside Mamata’s house are now advising Dilip. Dilip is a true Hindu leader.”

Saumitra Khan, retaliating, said, “I have nothing more to say about Dilip Ghosh. He is a closed chapter in Bengal’s politics.”

The ongoing war of words between the two leaders has once again highlighted the internal rift within the party, sparking widespread debate on social media.
