Dhaka, May 14 (HS): Chief Adviser Dr. Mohammed Yunus arrived in his hometown Chattogram this morning for the first time after assuming office as the head of the interim government. A Bangladesh Airlines flight carrying the Chief Advisor and his associates landed at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram at around 9:22 AM.
According to a Reports, during his one-day visit, Mohammed Yunus will tour the Chattogram port and participate in a meeting at the NCT-5 complex within the port. He will exchange ideas with senior officials from the port and shipping sector, representatives from various port user organizations, and leaders from trade bodies. Following this, he will visit the Chattogram Circuit House, where he will lay the foundation stone of the Kalurghat Bridge over the Karnaphuli River.
He will also discuss the issue of waterlogging in the city with Chattogram officials and the pressure of traffic on the Haatajari Road from the Oxygen Intersection of the city. Yunus will also hand over the land documents of the Chattogram National Heart Foundation at a ceremony. He will attend the fifth convocation ceremony of Chattogram University as the chief guest. He will also visit his ancestral home in Bathua village under the Shikarpur union in the Haatajari sub-district.
According to Sources, the advisor on Liberation War affairs, Faruk-i-Azam, Energy Adviser Dr. Mohammed Fouzul Kabir Khan, Education Adviser C.R. Abrar, Health Adviser Nurjahan Begum, Fisheries and Livestock Adviser Farida Akhter, Chief Coordinator for SDG Affairs Lamiya Morshed, and the Chief Adviser's press secretary Shafiqul Alam are accompanying the Chief Adviser.
