New Delhi, May 14 (H.S.): The National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) has announced that the National Selection Trials 3 and 4 for rifle and pistol competitions for Group 'A' shooters will be held from June 24 to June 30, 2025, at the Trishul Shooting Range of Maharana Pratap Sports College located in Raipur, Dehradun. These trials will play a crucial role in selecting the Indian team for the 16th Asian Shooting Championship 2025 to be held in Kazakhstan in August, as well as the ISSF World Cup scheduled for the end of the year in China and Egypt.

The country's top rifle and pistol shooters will participate in these selection trials with the confidence gained from their outstanding performance in the two-stage South American ISSF World Cup series held in Argentina and Peru. During this tour, Indian shooters made it to 32 finals, including mixed team events, and won a total of 15 medals, of which six were gold medals.

According to the selection criteria, only eligible shooters included in Group A will be allowed to participate in these trials. All Olympic rifle and pistol events will be included in National Selection Trials 3 and 4, and only a limited number of top-ranking shooters will take part. This will include 50 slots each in 10-meter air rifle (men and women) and 10-meter air pistol (men and women), 30 slots each in 50-meter rifle three position (men and women), 20 slots in 25-meter rapid fire pistol (men), and 30 slots in 25-meter sport pistol (women).

The first day of the trials, June 25, will commence with the qualifying rounds and finals for the 10-meter air rifle men, 25-meter pistol women, and 50-meter three position women events under Trial-3. The next day, Trial-4 will feature the qualifying and final rounds for the same events.
