Florida, 26 April (H.S.): The Florida airport faced a bomb threat today, leading to immediate security measures and evacuation of Allegiant Airways Flight 2006 at around 4:30 pm local time.

St Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport was swiftly closed as per the website nasstatus.faa.gov. In response to the threat, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) released a statement informing about the closure and subsequent delays in flights arriving and departing from the airport. According to FAA, all passengers on board the affected flight were safely removed from the plane onto the taxiway.

The airport will remain closed as authorities conduct their investigation. The FAA also provided a link to check for updates on the airport status and flight schedules. Media reports state that no explosives were found in the initial investigation, providing some relief amidst the chaos and disruption caused by the bomb threat at St Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport.
