Islamabad, April 22 (H.S.): At least 16 people died when a bus fell into a ditch in the Sindh province of Pakistan. Approximately 24 others were injured in the incident. According to police officials from the Sindh province, the accident occurred near the Bholakhan police station in the Jamshoro district.
According to Reports, Deputy Commissioner Ghazanfar Qadri was quoted as saying that the bus was carrying laborers from the Bheel community. These individuals were returning home after completing wheat harvesting in Balochistan. The incident resulted in the death of 16 people, and over two dozen passengers were injured.
Police confirmed that at least 12 bodies were recovered from the accident site. Hospital sources reported that four injured individuals died at Liaquat University Hospital in Jamshoro, bringing the death toll to 16. Rescuers indicated that five of the injured were taken to the Civil Hospital in Hyderabad. Among the deceased were four children. A rescue officer mentioned that the condition of one of the injured is critical. Deputy Commissioner Qadri reported that five of the injured were transferred to the Taluka Hospital in Bholakhan.
