Howrah, 15 April (H.S.) -In a commendable initiative aimed at promoting menstrual hygiene and supporting underprivileged women, Liluah Police Station, in collaboration with the Solace Group of Industries, organized a special outreach program in the Bhagar area of Belgachhia on Monday. As part of the drive, approximately 250 sanitary napkin packets were distributed to women in need, along with donations of essential clothing.

One of the key highlights of the event was a dedicated awareness workshop on menstrual health and hygiene. Conducted by two subject-matter experts, the session focused on educating women about best practices in menstrual care and breaking taboos surrounding the topic. The goal was to empower participants with accurate knowledge, promote hygiene, and encourage greater self-reliance among them.

The event saw the presence of senior police officials, including DCP North and DCP Traffic, who addressed the gathering and emphasized the police force’s commitment to social responsibility. They underlined the importance of such initiatives in fostering inclusive community welfare.

Speaking at the conclusion of the program, Howrah Police Commissioner Praveen Tripathi stated, “The police remain vigilant and committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of every citizen. We will continue to conduct such programs to extend support and awareness to all sections of society.”
