New Delhi, 14 April (H.S.): On Monday, BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda paid floral tributes at the Baba Saheb Ambedkar statue at the Memorial on Alipur Road, highlighting Ambedkar's dedication to social harmony, unity, and human rights. Accompanying him were Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, State BJP President Virendra Sachdeva, National General Secretary Tarun Chugh, Union Ministers, and other BJP leaders, all participating in the tribute organized by the Delhi BJP.
On Ambedkar Jayanti, the Delhi BJP conducted events across 256 mandals, with participation from Scheduled Caste Morcha President Mohan Lal Gihara and others. Nadda also visited an exhibition on Ambedkar's life at the memorial and later bowed at the statue of Lord Gautam Buddha, praising Ambedkar's role in uplifting marginalized communities and combatting societal evils.
Additionally, Union Minister Harsh Malhotra paid homage to Ambedkar at Ambedkar Park in Jwala Nagar. During a program at Dr. Ambedkar Park in Rajendra Nagar, MP Bansuri Swaraj paid tributes and launched two free medical vehicles. State General Secretary Vishnu Mittal also joined the tributes in Shahdara.
