Patna, April 13 (H.S.):

Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya led a significant Jai Bhim Padyatra in Patna, Bihar, today, accompanied by over 6,000 MY Bharat Youth Volunteers. The event, inaugurated by Bihar Assembly Speaker Nand Kishore Yadav, was a tribute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, emphasizing youth involvement and constitutional values.

Dr. Mandaviya urged the youth to embody Dr. Ambedkar's legacy in the quest for a new India, stating that the dawn over Patna represents a renewed commitment to his ideals. He highlighted Ambedkar's groundbreaking efforts for women’s rights in 1947, a time when gender equality was largely unrecognized globally.

The Minister called on the younger generation to pledge allegiance to the principles of national icons and promote youth-led development. Additionally, he praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and urged youth to align with his PanchPran vision for an empowered and self-reliant Viksit Bharat.

Nationwide, Jai Bhim Padyatras took place in all state capitals and 5,000 locations, where volunteers honored Dr. Ambedkar’s legacy, reinforcing the commitment to a unified, youth-centric India. Smt. Raksha Nikhil Khadse also participated in the padyatra in Mumbai, promoting national unity.

A collective reading of the Preamble to the Constitution by young achievers and MY Bharat volunteers reinforced their commitment to constitutional values. The MY Bharat Youth Volunteers actively participated in a Padyatra, expressing social harmony, democratic ideals, and inclusive progress through spirited slogans.

Cultural performances, including songs dedicated to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, infused energy into the Padyatra, while water and refreshments were provided for participant comfort. Demonstrating civic responsibility, MY Bharat volunteers also cleaned the path, demonstrating their commitment to service.

The Padyatra culminated near the Patna High Court, where Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya and other leaders engaged in a cleanliness drive around Dr. B.R. Ambedkar's statue, followed by garlanding his photo in tribute to the architect of the Indian Constitution. This moment of remembrance featured floral tributes from all dignitaries present. Joining Dr. Mandaviya were notable figures such as Bihar's Deputy Chief Ministers, former Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, and various state ministers and members of the legislature, collectively honoring Babasaheb’s legacy.
