New Delhi, April 13 (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Haryana on April 14 to commemorate Ambedkar Jayanti. His visit will begin in Hisar, where he will flag off commercial flights between Hisar and Ayodhya around 10:15 AM and lay the foundation stone for a new terminal building at Hisar Airport. He will also address a public gathering. Following this, at approximately 12:30 PM, the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for various development projects in Yamuna Nagar, also addressing the audience there.
The new terminal at Maharaja Agrasen Airport, costing over ₹410 crores, will feature a modern passenger and cargo terminal, along with an ATC building. Scheduled flights will commence from Hisar to Ayodhya, as well as to Jammu, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, and Chandigarh, enhancing Haryana's aviation connectivity.
The Prime Minister will lay the foundation for an 800 megawatt thermal power unit at the Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Plant in Yamuna Nagar, costing approximately ₹8,470 crores, to boost energy self-sufficiency. Additionally, he will establish a compressed biogas plant in Mukarba Pur, enhancing eco-friendly energy production and waste management. Modi will also inaugurate the 14.4-kilometer Rewari bypass, part of the Bharatmala project, which aims to reduce congestion, lower travel times, and promote regional economic growth.
