Guwahati, 01 April (HS): The April edition of Assam Pradesh BJP's monthly magazine 'Assamese BJP Barta' was released on Tuesday at the state BJP headquarters, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan. On this occasion, BJP's state general secretary and MLA Dipluranjan Sharma was present as the chief guest.

Addressing hundreds of BJP workers present at the release ceremony, Dipluranjan Sharma underlined the state government's initiative to celebrate 2025 as the 'Granth Movement' year. He said that literature is an indelible document of truth, which remains unaffected by any kind of distortion. He stressed that books are an important medium to preserve historical truth.

Speaking on the Assam Movement, Sharma underlined the important role of BJP in the foreign boycott movement. He said that this movement was led by Atal Bihari Vajpayee with determination and sacrifice. Vajpayee gave four historic speeches in Parliament, which are proof of his dedication towards Assam. He considered this movement not as a mere regional struggle but a transformative campaign linked to the aspirations of the youth of the country.

Sharma also said that some politicians, who had once strongly opposed the Assam movement, are now pretending to be self-proclaimed Assamese nationalists. He alleged that these people are spreading propaganda to distort the historical sacrifices of the BJP. However, he expressed confidence that no one can distort the truth and history.

On this occasion, BJP state chief spokesperson Manoj Barua, BJP vice-president and MLA Nab Dalai, editorial member and spokesperson of 'BJP Barta' Lakhya Konwar and a large number of workers were present.
