New Delhi,31 March(HS): The festival of Eid is being celebrated with great enthusiasm across the country today. Eid-ul-Fitr prayers were offered in the country's major mosques, praying for peace and harmony in the nation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted everyone on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr today.

In a post on X, he wrote:

“Greetings on Eid-ul-Fitr. May this festival enhance the spirit of hope, harmony and kindness in our society. May there be joy and success in all your endeavours. Eid Mubarak!”

President Droupadi Murmu has also extended her greetings to the people on Eid-ul-Fitr.

In a message sent on X this morning, President Murmu wrote, On the blessed occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, I congratulate all the citizens of the country, especially my Muslim brothers and sisters. This festival strengthens the spirit of brotherhood and conveys the message of compassion and embracing the practice of charity. I wish that this festival brings peace, prosperity, and happiness into everyone’s lives and strengthens the resolve to move forward on the path of goodness in everyone’s hearts.
