New Delhi, March 29 (HS): Former Australian player Stuart Law has been appointed as the head coach of the Nepal men's cricket team for the next two years. The Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) has confirmed this information. Prior to Law, Monty Desai was the coach of the Nepal team, whose tenure ended in February this year.

The Nepal Cricket Association announced this on their social media account on X, stating that former Australian great Stuart Law will lead the Nepal men's national cricket team for the next two years.

56-year-old Stuart Law played for the Australian team between 1994 and 1999. He participated in one Test and 54 One Day Internationals (ODIs), scoring 1,291 runs and taking 12 wickets. After retiring from international cricket, he stepped into the coaching world and has gained considerable coaching experience. He has worked internationally with teams from the USA, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, West Indies, and Afghanistan. Under his coaching last year, the USA team made a historic performance in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024. In the tournament held on home soil, the USA defeated Canada in their opening match in the group stage and then recorded a historic victory against Pakistan, successfully advancing to the Super Eight stage.
