New Delhi, March 28 (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the TV9 Summit 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, highlighting India's rising global status. He noted the swift economic growth from the 11th to the 5th largest economy in just 7-8 years, lifting 25 crore people out of poverty and creating a 'Neo-Middle Class.'

PM Modi emphasized India's youth population and skills development, advocating for a foreign policy of India First and Equi-Closeness. He celebrated India's global contributions during crises, like COVID-19, and introduced initiatives like the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure and the International Solar Alliance.

Reflecting on 21st-century progress, he discussed transformational schemes improving lives, such as Swachh Bharat and Ayushman Bharat, asserting India has evolved into a Nation That Delivers.

PM Modi emphasized the evolution of India's banking infrastructure, recalling that nationalization aimed to enhance accessibility but often left villages underserved. He noted that online banking now reaches every household, with services available within 5 kilometers.

The Prime Minister highlighted government efforts to strengthen the banking sector, resulting in a significant reduction in Non-Performing Assets (NPA) and banks achieving a record profit of ₹1.4 lakh crore.PM Modi stressed accountability in financial governance, revealing that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has recovered over ₹22,000 crore for defrauded victims. He advocated for efficiency and effective governance, promoting a red carpet over red tape approach, which has shaped his government’s agenda for 11 years. PM Modi called for streamlined operations to improve public service delivery and accountability in the banking sector.
