Barcelona, March 28 (H.S.): Barcelona achieved a one-sided 3-0 victory against Osasuna on Thursday (Friday according to Indian time), establishing a three-point lead at the top of the La Liga standings. With this win, Barcelona extended their unbeaten streak across all competitions to 19 matches.

In the match played at Camp Nou, forward Ferran Torres scored in the 11th minute with a superb cross from Alejandro Balde, giving the team an early lead.

Ten minutes later, Dani Olmo converted a penalty to make the score 2-0 after he was fouled by goalkeeper Sergio Herrera. Robert Lewandowski sealed the victory for the team with a close-range header in the 77th minute.

Barcelona is at the top with 63 points from 28 matches. The defending champions, Real Madrid, are in second place with 60 points, while Atletico Madrid holds the third position with 56 points. There are still 10 matches remaining.

After the match, Ferran Torres stated, From now on, every match is like a final for us. We took control of this match early and firmly. The three points are the most important thing.

This match was originally scheduled for March 8 but was postponed due to the death of the club's doctor, Carles Minaro Garcia.

Despite injuries and the international break forcing a change in team selection, Barcelona's manager Hansi Flick's side performed exceptionally well. Even in the absence of key players like Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha, Barcelona dominated Osasuna and did not allow them a single shot on target.

Ten minutes after Ferran Torres' initial goal, Pedri made a long pass, which Dani Olmo skillfully controlled, but goalkeeper Sergio Herrera brought him down.

Initially, Herrera made a brilliant save from the penalty, but the referee ordered it to be retaken as an Osasuna player had entered the box before the kick was taken. This time, Olmo made no mistake, sending the ball to the right of the goalkeeper to make it 2-0.

However, shortly after, Olmo had to leave the pitch due to a muscle injury, and young midfielder Fermin Lopez was brought on.

In the first half, Ferran Torres created another brilliant opportunity from a free kick, but his effort hit the crossbar. Barcelona generated several more chances but failed to convert them into goals.

Finally, in the 77th minute, Robert Lewandowski scored with a header from Fermin Lopez's cross, making the score 3-0 and securing a fantastic win for the team. After this defeat, Osasuna is in 14th place in the standings.
