New Delhi, March 22 (H.S.): Air India, Virgin Atlantic, and British Airways have restored their scheduled flights from New Delhi to London Heathrow Airport (LHR) on Saturday. LHR stated in a post on 'X' that flights have resumed, and the airport is now fully operational.
Official sources reported that Air India, British Airways, and Virgin Atlantic operated their flights to London Heathrow Airport this morning, with another flight from Air India set to depart. Operations resumed late Friday night, Indian time, at Heathrow Airport.
Air India has six flights from Delhi Airport to LHR. British Airways operates eight daily flights between India and LHR, including three from Mumbai and two from Delhi. Virgin Atlantic has five daily flights from Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru to LHR. Notably, flight operations were halted for about 18 hours due to a fire at a power substation near Heathrow Airport, which disrupted the airport's power supply.
