19 March (HS): On Wednesday, ISRO Chairman V Narayanan said astronaut Sunita

Williams' safe return was a spectacular feat that demonstrated NASA, SpaceX,

and the United States' dedication to space exploration. He also stated that

India would like to use her skills in space exploration.

“Sunita

Williams, we welcome you back! Your safe

return after a lengthy mission aboard the ISS is an incredible

accomplishment. A tribute to NASA,

SpaceX, and the United States' dedication to space exploration!” The ISRO

shared Narayanan's statement on 'X'. He stated that Williams' perseverance and

passion continue to inspire space enthusiasts throughout the world. As

Secretary of State and Chairman of the ISRO, I express warm wishes and wish you

a wonderful day, Narayanan stated.

When

Bharat, led by Hon'ble Prime Minister Modi ji, works to make India a developed

country, we would want to use your knowledge in space exploration, he said. Butch

Wilmore and Sunita Williams, NASA astronauts, returned to Earth on Tuesday

after nine months in orbit. Their

eight-day voyage into orbit was extended to nine months owing to a malfunction

in their Boeing spacecraft. Williams, 59, was born on September 19, 1965, in

Euclid, Ohio, to a Gujarati father, Deepak Pandya, from Jhulasan in Mehsana

district, and a Slovenian mother, Ursuline Bonnie Pandya.
