Solapur, 19 Mar (HS):- The

Cyber Cell of Solapur police is closely monitoring social media following

riots in Nagpur. Police have started taking action against those spreading posts

causing communal rift. Preventive steps are also being taken to maintain peace

in the region.

The Assistant Police

Commissioner has been authorized to initiate strict action against rumour

mongers.

A bond of god behaviour

for six months to one year is required to be signed by the person spreading

objectionable messages based on hearsay information. Those indulging in

frequent posting of such message will have to sign a bond for two years. A

stern action can be initiated in cases of further violation or spreading

seriously objectionable messages.
