Revolutionary songs during Hindu Temple Festivals!

Thiruvananthapuram, 15 March(HS): The whole Hindu society in Kerala is upset and shocked over the impunity with which the Marxist party workers sang “revolutionary songs” during a temple festival in the State.

Devotees who had gathered in large numbers to hear the devotional songs in praise of Kadackal Devi Temple in Kollam district were taken aback when the musicians, all owing allegiance to the CPI(M), sang songs eulogizing party comrades and Che Guvera. This Cuban communist leader was executed by the US army.

“This turned out to be a shocking incident. I do not want to say anything more than this,” said Ajayan Puthiyakavu, a devotee of the temple deity

The temple is under the shackles of the CPI(M), and the comrades organize cultural events promoting communism and socialism through the temple festival. But Travancore Devaswam Board President P S Prasanth told the media on Saturday that the action of the party workers can never be justified, ‘It is highly improper to sing political songs during temple festival. This can never be justified,” said Prasanth, a senior CPI(M) leader.

The TDB itself is under the control of the CPI(M), and the party accommodates leaders who could not win election as board chief. V N Vasavan, the minister in charge of Hindu temples in the state himself is a hardcore Marxist who never loses a chance to ridicule Hindu Gods and Goddesses.
